yeah . they spent like $2 or $3mill of their own money buying the rights to that film tho . didn't they?
which is diff from their plan now. to be a distributor . get paid in advance. up front. for promoting n placing films. in advance means no risk there. getting theatrical release proceeds . then having rights to post-theatrical product cycle ( in various territories)

so it's not comparable . there's no risk, as in buying a film like "12" , n then having to distr it as well
