My brother was a career soldier in Canada's Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. He was with peace-keeping forces twice in Cypress and was active in Desert Storm.
He died from cancer shortly after he retired from service. Bullets never killed him, but cancer did. I think knowing him, he would sooner have died on the battlefield.
