While I agree with you that it's good to have them gone, I also think the likelihood of getting Congressional action on legalizing cannabis, or at least having the Federal Govt. butt out in State's where it's legal has actually increased because of the press it's gotten due to both Session's openly being against it.
I suspect that if Jeff Sessions said he had no problems with cannabis based products where States made it legal, I doubt if any legislation would have been initiated. I believe we're up to 30 State's where in some way cannabis is legal, I've got to believe the Politicians have to realize the direction this is going and if nothing else, make it purely a State's Right's issue and make it clear to the banking industry, you're free to work with businesses who are doing things in a manner which is deemed legal in the State they' re operating in. Knowing the Federal Govt. they'll probably find a way to tax cannabis based products where they're legal.
