Lilly gives up on amyloid theory drugs, at a cost of how many millions?
It sickens me to see that so few people were willing to think independently, and wasted so much time, effort, and money on treating the symptom (plaques) rather than trying to find something that would treat the cause. And, of course, all the money spent on this theory -- which should have been abandoned long ago after the multiple failures in similar drugs -- has prevented that money from being spent on alternative approaches.
Go AVXL, and other companies and researchers who are trying to find treatments that will actually work.
