So this is really interesting. We don't just have a distribution deal. We have a multi-level marketing distribution deal. MLM as in Shaklee, Amway and about a million smaller 'lotions and potions' opportunities.
CBD is a potion. There's a real fit here. MLM is a great way for a person to leverage a person's enthusiasm about a product into hard dollars and potentially an ongoing stream of so-called 'mailbox money.'
MLMs usually only distribute that way. It's an exclusive channel. RMHB is going to be offering it as one of many distribution channels. That's interesting, and ballsy. MLM has a very mixed reputation in the world. Some people see it as a way to encourage small entrepreneurship and self-employment. Some people see them basically as Ponzi schemes. I'm not against management doing this but I am concerned about the potential impact on the brand.
All that being said, CJC Live (which is based in Singapore) appears to be a very hip and ambitious outfit. I get the sense, based on a very brief analysis, that MLM for this company is part of a package of offerings intended to make individual content providers financially self-sufficient. It also appears to be a brand-new company. (The website is unranked on Alexa.) So this is a marriage of start-ups.
