No, you ignoramus. Leisure and hospitality are a barometer for the health of the overall job market.
People travel for WORK and leisure. It takes more money in the pockets of consumers to spend and to grow those jobs, buy autos and move into new homes constructed by builders.
Where did that disposable income come from? That's right, from people in more high paying jobs.
Ditto for the purchase of new autos. You overlooked all of that.
And of course SNAP benefits are as cyclical as the economy. they started deceasing under Obama just as did unemployment; and of course the stock market recovery and the rebound from negative GDP handed off to Obama turned around too.
You can pretend that economic history began in 01/17, but that just makes you both an economic and historical illiterate.
Lastly, the final chapter has yet to written on Trump's economy. The tariffs, trade wars and rising interest rates are in the 'pipeline'.
