I personally do not put a lot of faith into the accuracy of the short numbers that are reported only twice per month. These criminals are expert at what they do and giving them two weeks to hide their crimes is way way too much time. Both UBSS and Credit Suisse were fined millions for failing to report tens of millions of trades that were mismarked as being long when in fact they were short. No question it is smart to track those numbers but to put any faith in their credibility is foolish IMO as our criminals know and use all the tricks to try and hide their crimes.
