Not sure if you've looked into who they did the financing with. As far as I can tell, they're a bit toxic. May be the only one SYN could hook at the moment until they land a decent CEO and get things rolling. For now it's only a temporary set back but if they continue to use a fund through the Caymen's, It may not improve for some time.
