Exactly. The number 273 doesn't mean there are 273 individuals holding shares. That actual number is very liquid, but the last time a "snapshot" was posted, that 23,000 would be far closer to reality for an individual shareholder count. Given what we know, that number is most likely considerably higher ahead of the highly anticipated news.

Anyone really wanting to confirm this should be able to by contacting the company for a total from the shareholder registry, which is updated daily. Not to be confused with a shareholder list, which is only updated annually.
