Samsung released its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III , in Q2, and it has also reported strong sales from its Galaxy Note smartphone in the past. Last quarter, Samsung surpassed Nokia to become the number one mobile phone maker in the world. It is also the number one smartphone maker in the world, ahead of rival Apple.
