Think of final DD like buying real estate.You did 95% of the DD before you signed a letter of intent or started the closing process (which is pretty much where we are right now,in the closing process)
One doesn't check out the neighborhood schools,neighbors,logistics to work,Taxes , etc.after starting the closing process.(not to mention prices)
Same here.That DD was done prior to the term sheet being signed thereby starting the "closing process".
Now,in effect,the "mortgage" is being drawn up,legalese etc.and some "double checking" .
Not saying it is a slam dunk but saying that something pretty big would have to happen to stall or cancel the deal .That said,this should be the shortest part of the process.
