It’s an education that provides an overview of the arts, humanities, social sciences, mathematics etc. Kinda like a jack of all trades but not good at any one of them.

Degrees in English Philosophy or the study of social sciences do not educate or train a student for a career or high-paying job like an accounting, finance, biology, computer science, engineering, law or economics degree.
