If Bril-OM is approved for those getting radiation or chemo for head and neck cancer, you can bet that patients will ask their doctors to prescribe it for them off-label for OTHER cancers that involve chemo and radiation.

How could an oncologist turn down a request for a simple oral rinse that has no systemic absorption?

It's a lot easier to turn down a request for an expensive IV treatment that involves a patient having to go to a clinic, and that might require prior authorization by a health insurance company.
