JERSEY CITY — Sentencing has been pushed back in the case of a 42-year-old woman who filed a false statement saying a Jersey City police officer sexually assaulted her in a Downtown alley in October.
In June, Jessica L. Miller, of Oak Street in Jersey City, pleaded guilty to knowingly giving false information to law enforcement with the purpose of implicating another person in connection to the incident she claimed occurred on Oct. 18, officials said.
Miller faces up to five years in prison and was to be sentenced Friday morning by Hudson County Superior Court Judge John Young, but the sentencing has been pushed back to Oct. 26.
