Memorial Sloan Kettering holds an equity stake in the company, Paige.AI, as do other officials, and three other board members are investors.
Hospital pathologists have strongly objected to the deal, saying it relies on expertise and work amassed over 60 years. They also questioned the use of patients’ data without their knowledge in a profit-driven venture.
