RMHB - There are pros and cons with PODCASTS. On the plus side the shareholders are exposed to whats is happening in the company and they meet the management, they also get the insight as to what the management is planning.
On the down side the general public is not aware of the companies operation as they are with a Press Release. Also you can't ask questions in a podcast its all laid out prior to delivery. Also if there were an SEC investigation into any matter presented a podcast can be deleted and a Press Release cannot. The best way to address both of these situations is to have a combination of both.
