We may tell ourselves that pressure groups and lobbists represent only a small percentage of the voters – and this is true. But they are the articulate well heeled few whose views cannot be ignored and who constitute the greater part of our leader's campaign dollars with no concern for the public at large, whose opinions we cannot know, who in all probability have a limited or no concern of what we are all about.
