The rumor mill. Stock talk boards are alive with rumors about Telvue and that's good. For awhile I did not think they cared.
Rumor --- Buzz words like SCAM are being introduced to other Telvue boards by desperate people. There are many scams in the penny market. Telvue is a real company and their customer base says so. Make up your own mind.
Rumor --- Gerry Lenfest will take Telvue private and pay you very little for your shares. Why ? He already owns 93% of the company. As the company turns a profit the purists among us will run to buy stock. It then becomes a cash cow for Gerry with no involvement.
Rumor --- Gerry Lenfest has stopped all support for Telvue. If you saw your child drowning would you give them your hand ?
Rumor --- Gerry Lenfest is having an affair. Well it has not shown up yet but if they become any more desperate it will.
Rumor --- Telvue has lost a boat load of money. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Telvue has invested a fortune to build an empire. The cloud is in place and Xfinity uploads thousands of movies to the cloud as we speak.
You can say anything you want that is bad about any company when the target is the shares you own. It is not necessary to prove anything like what has been posted---- "Telvue charges too much and will lose their customer base" and followed by Telvue does not charge enough and will soon go out of business. Press Releases cost money. They somehow scrapped together the money for news yesterday and it helped. We do not need PR's . We do not need to hear that Emmitt Hume is now on half salary to save money. Of course that is just a rumor.
This is not a rumor. Telvue is alive and well in New Jersey or as well as anyone can be in NJ. They will make money enough to avoid their fiscal cliff and go on to make a fortune for many forward thinking people.
For those of you who do not remember the great depression I will tell you what I know. The greatest money maker at that time by far was the motion picture business. When times are tough some hide in a bottle and others go to the theater to escape for a few hours. Today in the atmosphere of our economy people who are not working and have time are turning to Movies on demand. One click and the cloud makes your TV or your handheld a source of entertainment.
During the fall of the Roman empire Caesar gave the Romans Christians and Lions. They threw bread into the crowd at the Coliseum to take away their hunger for a few minutes. Is streaming video our source ?? Who cares as long as you make enough money to take care of your family. If everyone took care of there own we would have no problems but that's a different story for a different time.
Holding TelVue shares has made it the billion dollar bomb shell it is.
There is no limit to the loss of someone has been caught in a short squeeze.
