They can't release information until everything is in place and the deal is a go, otherwise they could be accused of manipulating the stock price. For instance, they can't say, "well, it looks like it's going through." And then something goes wrong and the deal doesn't happen.
I'm sure there's a lot going on behind the scenes that we know nothing about yet.
That's why most companies will release big news(when all the i's are dotted and t's crossed)just before the market opens. That way everyone has an equal opportunity to buy or sell or whatever they want to do.
It's hard to wait when you are financially invested, but it's all part of the stock trading game.
One thing I would suggest....Make sure you have bought all the stock you want, because it may not be down this low ever again.
