A work acquaintance of my wife's has
recently been named a federal judge.
Wow.
The guy is a conservative lawyer.
Works 12 - 14 hours 6 days a week
to start with.
Unassuming, and brilliant.
Thanked her for making sure all U.S. paper work
in the past few years marked "Secret & Top Secret"
were actually destroyed after use as required by law.
She is not leaving with him.
But she did recently get a double step up
promotion and $325 more a week raise,
not due to him at all.
"Site Manager" (a much sought nationwide destination-job).
