SEC charges 10 individuals and 10 companies with biotech pump and dump schemes. What penalty do they seek?
They want the guilty ones to give the government the 27 million in ill-gotten gains. And to agree not to trade small biotechs any more.
Meanwhile, people have life sentences for having small amounts of drugs, or for stealing a few thousand bucks.
Disgraceful. It's a license to steal, if you know that the worst that can happen for criminal behavior is that you give the profits back if you're caught.
I hope that the investors who were cheated file class action suits against these creeps. A word to the wise crook: get out now before we sue you.
