Someone shared with me today an example of a public company which spun off a subsidiary into an IPO. The parent company of course retained an ownership stake, but they also received a sizable amount of cash that was raised in the IPO. So I would like to revise my earlier statement that an IPO would necessarily be bad for shareholders. Obviously if we are able to receive cash, that would be a huge deal for us. Hopefully they will make a decision before the end of Summer as they stated in the pr- only 2 more weeks left.
