I lost two close cousins in that dam war and one should never have been there.
Neil was married with FOUR kids and kept going back. AND he was a helicopter pilot who flew rescue missions, a HIGH risk assignment.
He landed on July 5, 1966 and while they were loading wounded, a sniper got him sitting in the cockpit. DOA right there.
He served with Company A, 502nd Aviation Battalion, 12th Aviation Group, 1st Aviation Brigade, United States Army Vietnam.
But Neil died loving what he was doing, saving other's lives. He was a HERO!
