That was definitely a smart move on SA's behalf, because they know that its inevitable that a reversal of the California decision is forthcoming, and possibility of treble damages, thus they have taken the first step in the settlement negotiation process! They got the delay they wanted, and very, very soon it will be time to "pay up", which they knew was coming!
