Just to rebut this, you can only find a hand full of patents when you google patent search that are assigned to QMC. My bet is that QMC bought more patents as they stated, but didn't want to incur the cost of transfer of assignee at this time since they weren't using the IP for production yet. Why pay additional fees to US Patent Office for things you won't either use or not use for years.
