Gallup found in December 1961 that Kennedy’s approval rating was 76% - higher than his predecessor, Dwight Eisenhower, who scored 68% in December 1953. However only 35% of respondents told Gallup they think Donald Trump is doing a good job - an unprecedented poor score in a President’s first term.
