Re: Splithappens - Newbies take Heart -

It's quite obvious that just about every major company is infringing, WHY because it the best PATENTED solution that can prevent hacking in to the Companit's Network.
It's a good solution to part of the Human Factor.

It's the Few Fad, if you will, as mandated by PCI & NIST (standards and guidelines made mandatory ) and it's benefits are, easily seen, and explained by Joe Six Pack, even Milinials,

When It comes to an International Standards, I've played this game before with the battle for the International Standard by the IEEE ( Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association ) (, Amat Communications Corp. And the International Standard for ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) (just or DSL for short) Amato went up against AT&T in the IEEE Standards Body, and won in the late 1990's, why?
Because Amati's Line Code could limit outside noise interference on Twisted Pair Telephone Lines, much better than AT&T's Line Code. AMATI' was founded by a Stanford Professor in Comunications, Dr. Jon Ch. AMATI was Boughton by Texas Instruments around 2000.

"John Cioffi (born November 7, 1956) is an American electrical engineer, educator and prolific inventor who has made contributions in telecommunication system theory, specifically in coding theory and information theory. Best known as "the father of DSL," Cioffi's pioneering research was instrumental in making digital subscriber line (DSL) technology practical and has led to over 400 publications and more than 100 pending or issued patents, many of which are licensed."

"The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association (IEEE-SA) is an organization within IEEE that develops global standards in a broad range of industries, including: power and energy, biomedical and health care, information technology and robotics, telecommunication and home automation, ...

Now I finally see the IEEE Standards Body weighing in on Out of Band Authentication.

Once the Strike Force Patents are Validated by the U.S. Justice System, SFOR will be able to receive it's Just Deserves in License and Royalty Payments from all Infrigers. Which is Just about every Company. Just as Qualcomm did with its Royalities with its Patents on 3G in Cellular Transmission , as one Large Company Example, of a company that Capitalized on its Patents Iternationally. If you used 3G in it's day, You paid a royalty for the use of Qualcomm Chips containing it Patented Alogorims

"Most people don’t pay a lot of attention to government technical guidance and regulations, which is completely understandable. They’re government regulations, after all. But sometimes, buried deep inside these dense bureaucratic reports, there is some guidance of actual value, and the new authentication guidelines from NIST is one of those rare documents.

NIST is the federal government agency that is responsible for setting technical standards for other government agencies, and companies that do a lot of government work tend to follow those standards as well. A big chunk of what the group does is develop and codify policies and standards for computer security, specifically cryptography and authentication, and NIST has released a new set of proposed Digital Authentication Guidelines that includes a couple of very interesting bitsc

Over the past two years I've tried to impart what those StrikeForce Patents Mean with Graphics.

I'm not saying the IEEE will make OBBA an International Standard. But with PCI and NIST having already Mandated OBBA.
The IEEE is almost a Moot Point when it comes to a OBBA being a Standard.
