True...8K is basically useless to-date...bandwidth is still struggling to support & keep up with 4K....and I don't run in circles where folks commonly use 85" TV's. I can see where these next-gen capabilities could be useful for commercial public display apps like those provided by Ultravision, but none of this plays a part in my life. I'm still content with my 10yr old 32" 1080p Sharp TV....there isn't that much stuff worth watching on TV nowadays anyway.
I only posted those newsbytes because their was a hint of QDots in the air & to illustrate the direction things are headed in the future, once the sizes & costs are made more conducive to the needs & budgets of the general public (as-is typically the case after a few years). As for myself, I don't really much give a damn....all I care about is seeing some kind of meaningful sales &/or contract recorded in the QMC filings in the very near future.
