It was NOT "stopped abruptly." It came to the end of the clinical trial, and the company decided to DEFER continuing so that they could spend their resources on much faster clinical trials for various Brilacidin formulations and for Prurisol. As you well know, it can easily take a decade for a cancer trial to reach Phase 3.

To say that it was "stopped abruptly" means that the clinical trial was stopped suddenly. IT WAS NOT. It came to a natural end, and continuance was deferred.
