Yes, I agree, unfortunately. Not the Model 3, but I DO want my darn Not-A-Flamethrower! Now the next best opportunity is to get to Chicago on Sept 8 if I want to pick it myself, rather than wait for it to be delivered. Aaarggh!
My son's the president of his entrepreneur club at college, and he was hoping to receive his birthday gift in time for a summer club cookout. Oh well, I guess he's going to have to settle for a football game cookout and invite the club over to char the coals.
