First post here in a while. I think there may be a couple reasons it changed, one you mentioned where notifiMED tends to expand the implied fields it pertains to.

One of the other reasons, IMO, is that there's already an existing website with the domain notifymd.com (note the 'y'). I think Rory and team are well aware that people may commonly enter "notify" in web browers instead of "notifi", and so it's important that whatever official name is selected, they're able to secure both domain versions. For example, if you enter notificrm.com or notifycrm.com in a web browser, both redirect to nFusz's website. I've seen several times, especially on Twitter, where people have written 'notifyCRM'. Was a little concerned the first time I saw it, but of course Rory was all over it and had already secured both domains.
