Yes, because otherwise there would be no meter for the strips to run on.
Is this NYC seller buying the product for sale, or buying the technology?
The NYC company is a master distributor. I have visited them several times in the last 20 years and have seen their brands, Burt's Bees being one of them, but I have never seen any technology or manufacturing.
