I won’t lie. I liked Mr. Veal and thought he was pretty straight up when his hands weren’t tied with the court case. HJOEs was more or less non operational when Veal took over. Shawn is a gifted marketer and sales person but many are questioning his recent decision making. When you let go of good people or put them in ceremonious “consultancy” positions, it isn’t good. I have a hard time believing HJOE’s is in a better place without Matt Veal and Dan Casey in positions to move the company into larger national chains with lower pricing with economies of scale with the jerky. I think many wish Shawn could grasp the concept of lowering the jerky prices so that the brand can go National...better to make a smaller piece of a huge pie rather than a big piece of a small pie while all all your dealers suffer or move on to other jobs
