? for ZPaul, Cyber C, and/or other legal eagles here on this board!
We've seen lots of discussion regarding a settlement in the SA case prior to a ruling, or preference of a ruling first to further establish a sort of ironclad precedence in favor of SFOR.
My question is whether or not a middle-of-the-road alternative is available. Can the 3-judge panel rule in favor of SFOR, reversing the Ca. ruling, but in lieu of the court assessing damages, etc., they could indicate a settlement between SA and SFOR has eliminated the need for the court to do so. By doing so SFOR will have the ruling reversing the Ca. decision, providing further validation of SFOR's patented technology, but allowing an agreement between SA & SFOR to provide immediate settlement regarding damages, penalties, royalties, & licensing fees, etc.. It would seem it might be a win-win option for everyone!
Looking for comments & opinions as to the viability/possibility of such a scenario, rather than have it drag out in a courtroom battle!
Thx in advance for any replies!
Have a great day everyone! GO SFOR!!!
