According to Spokane-based CostMine ’s newly-released US Metal and Industrial Mineral Mine Salaries, Wages and Benefits 2012 Survey Results, geologists and mining engineers received salary increases of 1.5% to 10% over the last 12 months.
The change over the past five years has been significant, with senior geologists making 21% more than they were five years ago.
Along with geologist and mining engineers, the report also provides detailed information on production workers and other professional staff at 56 metal mines and 64 industrial mineral mines.
Executive compensation information for 30 publicly-traded mines is also included.
