I wonder how the loss of Big Red will affect our partnership with the military veteran business group that was supposed to give us a foot in the door for governmental shipping contracts. Big Red was touted as providing the transportation muscle for the venture.
Personally, I feel that expanding the trucking fleet through the ownership of them is a losing proposition financially. The overall expenses are too great.
The best idea Gurba had was leasing the entire fleet thru that ex-racecar driver who made a fortune with the self-rental market. All maintenance will be handled by others.
And there is that other gleam in Gurba's eye we haven't heard about in recent months; the logistic side of lining up scheduled runs between people who need shipping and transportation companies.
