Some of the BEST ideas come from investors that ask for no recognition (i.e. nFusz Concierge). We all know who's idea that was and who suggested it that were in Vegas.
Through my whole career I've always been one to share everything I know, even back in the day when people would say, WHAT?, why would you do that, it's job security.
I would say, I don't care. I'll tell you everything I know. Every tip, every secret, everything. Take my job. Do my job. I'll find something else. It's my job to teach, not to control. Counter intuitive I know, but I was shocked when I kept moving up to the next level each time vs. sent out to pasture.
Huh? What? Must be some mistake?
I will say nFusz Concierge wasn't my idea, NTCough, NTCough
I suggested to Rory having a consulting arm of the org like MS, IBM and ORCL do where they make a boat load of revenue. Maybe the timing wasn't right or he let me down gently. Rory keep in mind I'm always available for starting up that multi billion arm of the company He did like the idea of nFusz Concierge which was the guy next to me NTCough, NTCough
It's all clear to me know. The world advances with open discussion, sharing ideas, collaborating. Many of the smartest minds from 100+ years ago built upon other ideas even before the internet. You wonder how that was even physically possible (i.e. can't wait for that boat to come ashore with the notebook). In reality, everyone took everyone's else ideas and move them forward.
The people that I've met on iHang over the years and in Vegas are in many ways like me. (although not as funny!). Share everything they can.
A bunch of average joes that are more giving than receiving. Not out to deceive the next guy so they can make $200 on a flip.
This is where it gets a little surreal.
The people I meet in Vegas was a common bond that was stronger than even if we went to grade school together. The trust and bond was so much higher.
Keep in mind none of us ever met. If one of them asked me for a favor, I would do it if it was physically or financially possible. You need $20K, let me see what I can do. I planted a couple of trees on memorial weekend in honor of a special couple I met. Didn't tell them yet they are in the ground.
cannoli1, zoomboom, facai88, Digmush, Trashboy, BSR and many more are my friends I met here and I hope to share the same experience together that we all did in Vegas soon. If we all become millionaires fantastic. If not, as least we all are enjoying life. Life and happiness is much more important, but I think being rich wouldn't hurt
