I have a personal stake in this fight towards legalization and this story is at the heart of it. My mother suffers from both severe muscle pain and joint pain form numerous surgeries which have crippled her ability to move around. She has been prescribed opiates for years. Which did work to alleviate her pain initially, but after numerous years with these aliments have depreciated of the years again leaving her ability to move around freely severely limited.

She lives in NY and in the past year obtained a medical MJ card for medical purposes. Since she has gained access she has orally taken CBD pills which have made drastic changes in both her ability to move around much more freely. But most importantly has dramatically reduced her dependence on the opiates which were not even really helping her at this point. She is much happier and is glad she has made the choice which she was more than a bit skeptical to make initially.


Long story shortened here. The move to CBD product has not only helped her pain suffering, it has indeed decreased her reliability on opiates. She hopes to be off of them totally in the short term.

We need to support this movement and I have personally seen the benefits!
