Lots of jibber-jabber about Nanosys being the king-of-the-hill...& their prowess might be a fair characterization to-date. But if so, I wonder why they're trying to unload it. Last I heard (as of a few months ago), Nanosys was up for sale for what is reportedly, a pretty hefty & inflated pricetag....with no-takers that I'm aware of so far. Whatever the case, there don't appear to be any absolute certainties in this sector for any of the players.
