WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The government will issue monthly reports on U.S. job creation and consumer spending at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. The economy likely added 165,000 jobs in May, with the unemployment rate holding steady at 8.1%, according to economists surveyed by MarketWatch. Consumer spending, meanwhile, was forecast to rise 0.3% in April, matched by a 0.3% increase in personal income.
