Market Makers today filled my order on the BID; again, below my limit order price, so anyone buying may get a better than ASK price.
They play these games where all of the sudden (on L2) you will see over 1,000,000 on the BID, showing momentary Buying pressure support, then some buys come in BUT the price drops as that BID size shrinks rapidly without that actual volume trading. Its like the MM retracts it once it lures in buyers.
They also will put up a big size on the ASK, acting as a wall keeping the price at or below it, while they accumulate. I could be wrong but it sure looks like games at times.
