That is what my sister has and she only has 3 radiation treatments left (counting the one later today). They had to cancel her third and final chemotherapy which was scheduled for last Tuesday as her white cell count is critically low. But the great news is that her HPV virus has seemingly dissolved and they think it is gone for good.
She did fine the first 4- 4 1/2 weeks and then the treatments got to her. On lots of pain medication, cannot eat but continually chewing and trying to swallow to keep those muscles working, and she has developed OM. Everything they said it would be.
So with treatment ending basically this weekend she is looking forward to about 2 months until her sense of taste returns (and she is praying that it does), she still can speak as I just got off the line with her so that doesn't appear to be a problem, and we have to think that she is one of the lucky ones where the treatment was worth the pain.
Certainly has made me aware of how much misery our Brilacidin sachets are going to make a thing of the past and IMO a Doctor would have to be crazy not to prescribe it for all cancers to make sure this terrible condition, OM, does not occur even on a fluke chance where radiation is not given near the head or shoulders.
No doubt in my mind that our drugs are going to be heralded in the near future for the gifts they will bestow on many suffering patients.
