Remember, FINRA reports what, twice a month? Do you think MM's are stupid. Ya' got the 3 day rule, now 2 days to close position for reporting. Now, If I know I'm going to receive shares via a toxic funder, I'll simply state that to the MM...Pufffff, FREE shares....I can short and buyback at lower price...DAMN FINRA is a STEP behind.
