When I was a kid my family always referred to today as “Decoration Day” because (as I understood) it wasn’t about the men & women who served in our armed forces as they called that Veterans Day. Memorial Day was for those who died in service to our country. Going to the cemetery and decorating the graves was what we did to honor these true heroes.

They gave the ultimate sacrifice with their lives, and most, at an extremely young age. I guess my gambling on the stock market (worlds biggest casino) isn’t as important as I think it is.
