NBPC President Backs Trump's Remarks on MS-13 Members

The president of the National Border Patrol Council backed President Trump's remarks labeling members of the MS-13 gang as "animals."
Trump described the murderous gang during a roundtable with mayors from California at the White House last Wednesday.
"They're worse than animals, in my opinion," Brandon Judd of NBPC said on Sunday. "Animals do not treat other animals the way MS-13 treats other human beings.”
Media outlets took the president's words out of context, running stories that claimed he used the term to describe illegal immigrants more broadly.

"You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people, these are animals, and we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before," Trump had said.
Judd praised Trump for pointing out what is actually going on within violent gangs.
"How many times to do we have to sit back and allow women to get raped, children to get raped [and] women to get murdered?" he asked.
Trump later clarified his remarks in a tweet Friday and noted that he was only referring to MS-13 members as animals and not illegal immigrants in general.
Judd also said that reports of another migrant caravan planned for next year are just to bring negative attention to President Trump.
According to a report, the president of the group that organized the caravan, Irineo Mujica, said the caravan will take action again next year.
"These groups, the last thing that they want to see [is Trump] win again in 2020," Judd said. "So they're going to put out information trying to embarrass the president, trying to drop those poll numbers down."
