My dad had kidney failure. Went on dialysis at 80! Most last 12 months. He lived to 84! Three times a week we took him to have his blood removed, cleaned and replaced. It was horrible for him! His diet was so restricted he had no enjoyment. NONE! He had asked not to be tethered to a machine from the beginning. He finally got all of us together and announced that he was done after 4.5 years of torture! He stopped going and we lost him 3 weeks after.
After going thru that, with the same result as he would have had at 80, I promised myself to not do that to my family ever!
I hate the medical profession when it comes to the elderly! They are drug pushers who prolong life without concern for the hardships to the family and line their pockets in the process and hide behind false hopes.
WE are not getting out of this alive! That much we know!
