sells require buys and buys require sells hence the split of the volume total per month
this is why i don't utilize just one set of data re: analysis .. and why i'm so convinced NR undertook the events of 2015 .. never realizing what they actually unleashed by those efforts then .. but imo based on mgmt's aggressive response .. imo *tactics and strategies* would enter mgmt's future *response* specific to forward coming events ..
it's also why *imo* NR had no choice but take the then *legal* it had taken from 2015 to 2017 to get back to (approx) 850k .. from approx 1.4M .. back up to 1.3M
after mgmt's upward surprise of of June 2017 (name/ticker/cusip change out)
imo almost everything NR reports is % based ..
by my calcs NR is now showing on avg a minimum of 3 trades for every 1 actually executed and why i always note if investors have access to their time stamps
take note of how handled .. is it filled in one trade .. is it split filled into 2 or 3 or 4 trades .. is it obviously mirrored .. i tend to use odd numbers to see more easily how handled
imo no retail investor will ever know the 100% actual .. but it's good to at least be aware of potentials and possibilities
one thing i'm beyond confident about .. is NRs' relentless compression of IPIX's PPS .. had very little success in parting out actual investors from their IPIX shares
what NR does from here .. remains to be seen .. but i know what i'd be doing in their shoes ..

Great info and even a better summary! Thank you. It’s interesting to say the least.
I’m hung up (confused) as to why we would divide total volume by half to get # of buys/sells....
Let’s say Joe sold 100 shares today and it was the only transaction for the day. We know the total volume (1 day) would be marked as 100. We also know it takes a buyer and a seller to make that tranaction happen so 100 shares were sold and 100 shares were bought so why we divide the total volume by 1/2 to get the number shares sold?
—————————
I show Volume total currently for May 2018 based on the above = 3,102,948 .. divided by 2 = 1551,474 ..
1,551,474 (May currently) + 2,236,718 for April 2018 = 3,788,192 *sells*
