Problem one...audits. Tony was the CFO and forgot about the engine lease.
Problem two...management..Tony was with the previous management as CFO, he failed to get the audits completed. That was his job. The engine lease deal falls to him, he forgot to mention it> Give me a break, that was his job. Lampl was not an airline executive, he was a communications specialist, a mouthpiece for the executive. He never made critical decisions, he simply created, massaged, and issued press releases but was not the brains behind those decisions he announced. They have no one with the experience necessary to run an airline. Your faith is admirable if not misplaced.
