I want to point this out from the article:

Being the first to actually deploy a LEO Ku-band system gives us a first-mover advantage.”
My take: the Utopya phones can act as storage nodes / cloud storage - whatever available space that is on the phone can be shared space on a peer to peer network.

Think about it - The IoT needs more “devices”. The phones/Utopyan’s solve that problem. The more devices available, the more nodes / storage available, the stronger the IoT..
