As far as safety for clinical trial participants, did everyone see that the "maverick" biotech guy who said he was going to speed up clinical trial progress by experimenting on himself DIED after injecting himself with a couple of experimental things -- a vaccine or two, and a drug ? ? ? ?

He was only 28, I haven't seen yet anything about cause of death (it might be completely unrelated to the injections), but that certainly would give one pause if thinking about just doing human testing without having FDA approval first.
